We are looking to add an IT Specialist to their Thunder Bay team. If the fast pace of a growing company appeals to you, and you have the right technical skills, there could be a place for you on our team. The IT specialist will report to the Manager of Software Systems Development. The successful candidate will work closely with vendors and internal customers to help define and deploy systems and tools to meet our growing needs. In addition to these planning and implementation duties, the IT specialist will take responsibility for day to day operation and support of computer systems and networks.
Duties
- Manage a multiple site computer network with seamless integration of network resources.
- System & network security, integrity and disaster recovery
- Work with business units in definition and identification of systems and tools
- Implementation, roll-out, administration and support of such systems and tools
- Telephony system management
- Configuration & license management for deployed systems, servers, and tools
- Technical support
Desired Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years industry experience
- Experienced with Windows network administration(e.g. Active Directory, windows domains) and windows server 2008 R2
- Experienced in Windows 7 administration
- Experienced with disaster recovery planning and methodology
- Familiar with a broad range of applications and servers
- Good interpersonal skills
- Oriented towards providing business solutions

- B.Sc or equivalent
