High Throughput Virtual Slit (HTVS)

The High Throughput Virtual Slit (HTVS) increases throughput of narrow band and white light spectrometers by up to 10 times.

Throughput of a collimated white light beam shown with no slit, a traditional slit, and with HTVS technology.

HTVS technology:

  • Has no moving parts or electronics
  • Has a smaller spot while preserving f-ratio
  • Has minimal loss from light absorption
  • Is easy to integrate into existing designs
  • Is a purely reflective achromatic solution
